About Us

The City of Liberty Street Department handles repairs and upkeep of streets, bridges, and traffic signs, in addition to overseeing new construction and preventive maintenance or seal coating of existing streets. The Street Department is responsible for 55.76 linear miles of streets in the city limits.

The 9 employees of this department are also responsible for maintenance of drainage ditches and storm water drain systems; trimming of trees, limbs, vines and other vegetation overhanging the streets; and motor grading non-paved streets as often as possible.
