Through ongoing improvements, infrastructure rehabilitation, and forward-thinking planning, the Public Works Department is committed to enhancing quality of life for our citizens and preserving vital resources for future generations.
Parks and Recreation
The City of Liberty Parks & Recreation Department consists of a dedicated park manager and nine skilled personnel who work year-round to enhance and preserve the City’s parks, green spaces, and recreational areas. The Parks and Recreation Department maintains the 129-acre Liberty Municipal Park, which serves as a centerpiece for community recreation, special events, and outdoor activities. In addition, the department oversees several neighborhood parks located throughout the city.
Street Department
This multifaceted department plays a vital role in maintaining the quality of life in our community by overseeing the City’s streets, traffic flow and street signage, stormwater management, mosquito control, and solid waste services.
Water/Wastewater Department
The Water/Wastewater Department provides a constant uninterrupted supply of safe drinking water and sanitary sewer service to its customers in compliance with all State and Federal regulations governing the same.
Our department consists of highly-trained employees including an operations manager, foreman, and others who handle key areas. Many of these employees must maintain stringent license requirements with the State in order to carry out their duties.
We are known for the high quality of these services, which will only improve as the City of Liberty proceeds with a major rehabilitation of the water and sanitary sewer infrastructure. Our department works diligently to enhance the quality of life and to ensure the availability of water resources for future generations.
