Places of Interest
The City of Liberty offers a wide array of tourist attractions. Most of these are right inside our city limits. Others are within a 40-minute drive. Some of our own residents are surprised at all of the places we have to offer. These include a replica of the Governor's Mansion, built according to the original design plans, and one of the most acclaimed history museums and research libraries in the State of Texas, the Sam Houston Regional Library and Research Center. Liberty also boasts the recently acquired Liberty Municipal Golf Course (i.e. Magnolia Ridge Country Club's golf course), one of the finest nine-hole golf courses in the state, wildlife refuges and birding areas, and a covered rodeo arena that stays busy almost every weekend in the year. From the birder to the hunter to the outdoor racing enthusiast, the Liberty area offers an incredible array of places to visit.
