Water & Waste Water

The City of Liberty provides water from underground wells. The average daily water consumption is 1.3 mgd, with peak consumption at 4 mgd. The City's water storage capacity is 5.65 million gallons. Liberty’s waste water treatment facility is located south of town. The aeration plant has a capacity of 3.2 mgd with current utilization at 1.128 mgd.

Solid Waste

The City of Liberty contracts with a private commercial hauler.

Electricity

City of Liberty provides electrical power within the city limits of Liberty. Newly annexed areas may be served by Entergy Texas. The City of Liberty provides electrical discount rates to qualifying large industrial users. Entergy Texas is the retail provider of electrical power in areas surrounding the City and for areas annexed in recent years. Through its Team City program, Entergy Texas helps cities and towns grow and prosper.

Natural Gas

CenterPoint Energy is the natural gas distribution company servicing the Liberty area.
