Summer Reading Program 2021 - Tales and Tails

The Liberty Municipal Library’s Summer Reading Program gets underway on June 14th.

Event Date: 
Monday, June 14, 2021 - 10:00am to Saturday, July 24, 2021 - 4:00pm

This year’s theme is “Tail and Tales" and it is stampeding your way.  

June 14th is the first day to check out books that will earn participants weekly prizes.  June 17th at 2:30 p.m. Snow Cones event for program participants (while supplies last) and special guest, the LFD,  June 24th- Virtual Event at 2:30 p.m. - Magician Julian Franklin, July 8th- Virtual Event at 2:30 p.m.- Musician Will Parker, July 15th- Take Away Craft, July 19th- Last week to check out and log in time for weekly prize and drawing slips, July 22 at 2:30 p.m. Snow Cones event, and July 29th- Virtual Event at 2:30 p.m. - Award Announcements.

Weekly prizes will be chosen an assortment of small toys including stuffed toy dragons, magical horses (unicorns, Pegasus, etc.), Narwhals, wind-up pirates, dragon ducks, slime, magic foam, mermaid squirt toys, spinners, and many other great toys.

In addition there will be drawing prizes given to each age category.  

All area children are welcome to attend the free program.  An up-to-date Liberty Municipal Library card is required for each child and is free for all Texans.  Parents must present a valid Texas driver’s license when applying for library cards.  Children may be signed up to participate any time during first five weeks of the program.
